Can renovlies also go on the ceiling?

Yes, renovlies can also go on the ceiling. We apply it the same way as on the walls and then paint it with latex in the colour you choose. The finish runs from wall to ceiling in one go, without an edge where one job stops and the other begins.

When renovlies on the ceiling makes sense

A ceiling with small irregularities, hairline cracks or an old, patchy layer of paint looks calm again with renovlies. In a new-build home the lining absorbs the shrinkage cracks that appear in the first few years, just like on the walls. If you are having the walls done anyway, adding the ceiling is often the logical step: one team, one schedule and the same latex, so no colour difference in the corner.

V-joints and rough ceilings: plasterer first

Many new-build ceilings are handed over with white spray finish, or not finished at all, and that is where you see the V-joints between the concrete slabs. Filling those joints is a job for a plasterer, and we would rather tell you that up front than afterwards. Attics with brown or green ceiling boards

The brown or green boards you find in many attics usually get two coats of super latex from us. The small staple holes are filled with the roller as we go. If you want them completely smooth, we fill them for an extra charge. We discuss that when we come to measure.

Then we usually finish the walls first and the stretch ceiling goes in afterwards. That way we can work neatly right up to the ceiling without the risk of damaging anything.
